Join us on the New York Connection trip on Friday, March 31st, 2017. This trip offers a great opportunity to join Emerson alumni and friends in New York City for a full day of exploring and networking. Industry professionals offer knowledge and networking opportunities that can help jumpstart your career.

We take up to 60 undergrad students to New York for the day to visit different employer sites and explore what it’s like to work in New York City. You have the opportunity to network with employers/alums, ask questions about their experience, and tour the company. At the end of the day, there is a small reception with Emerson alums to give you a chance to interact in a more casual setting, and on a one-on-one basis.

Because of limited space, this trip will be on a first-come first-served basis. Registration will open on March 1st and the registration fee will be $60. This fee includes: roundtrip transportation on a private charter bus that departs from Emerson College, breakfast, and a light dinner during the reception.

There are 4 tracks which include 2 employer sites in each. You can only choose 1 track when registering, and you must stick with that track during the trip. Below are your options:

6:30 AM Buses depart for Manhattan, breakfast provided

*The buses will stop at a rest area outside the city for lunch pick up. Upon entering the city, the buses will drop students & staff at a central location 

1:00 PM Site Visit 1

2:30 PM Site Visit 1 concludes, depart for Site Visit 2

3:30 PM Site Visit 2

5:00 PM Site Visit 1 concludes, depart for closing event

5:30 PM Light dinner and networking reception @ Horizon Media

7:30 PM Closing Remarks

7:45 PM Program concludes, depart for buses

12:00 AM Estimate time of arrival in Boston

Registration Instructions – In order to secure your spot on the trip, you MUST complete the following:
1) Registration will open March 1st at 10am. To register for the NY Connection trip, please click here.
You must complete the registration form and submit the $60 registration fee through Eventbrite.
2) Select the transportation option you will take for this trip. Please read each option carefully. We will provide roundtrip transportation, but you may opt to take the bus and go on your own. You must select your preference on the registration page.
4) Fill out the Risk and Release Form in the link provided by March 24th.

Additional Information:

Money: Please bring $25-30 for extra expenses
Meals: Breakfast and a light dinner will be provided. However, lunch is not included, so please bring money to purchase lunch.

IDs: Please make sure to bring a form of ID with you. Some sites require you to show it to security in order to enter the building.
Travel: You may be taking public transportation to travel between site visits, so please bring money to cover “in-city” transportation fares. As the bus may not make it back to Boston before the T stops running, make sure to have sufficient funds to cover cab fare.
Departure: The bus will be leaving NYC at 8:00 p.m. sharp.
