It’s halfway through the semester! No matter where you are on your career journey, the Career Development Center has plenty of opportunities for you to take advantage of.
You made the connections and now you should keep them!
If you attended the Internship Fair, you may have met with dozens of employers and it is important to take that connection to the next level. You may send a e-mail to each employer, thanking them for their time and what stuck out to you in your conversation. Also, you may want to connect with the employer/recruiter on Linkedin, but make sure to add a personalized message in your request!
Check-in with Career Development Center staff
We recommend doing a mid-semester check-in with our Career Development staff to review resumes, cover letters, explore your career options, prep for an interview, or anything related to your career readiness. Feel free to stop by Monday-Friday 1-3PM for walk-in hours or make an appointment using Handshake!
International students have the opportunity to partake in the Career Development course where we will be providing an overview of career services, career development, and understanding what it means to learn and work in the U.S.. Students can join discussion boards with their peers on career topics, submit their resume, cover letter, and other application materials for review and our career counselors will provide personalized feedback.
